Some interesting notes about the chart rankings:
Between 1980-1998 Echo and the Bunnymen had 6 Top Ten Albums
on the UK Charts, and 3 Top Ten Singles on the UK Singles
Charts. The highest ranking album was "Porcupine"(1983)
at #2.
"The Cutter" (1983) and "Nothing Lasts Forever"
(1997) were the highest ranking singles, both at #8.
Every Echo and the Bunnymen album from 1980 - 1997 has reached
the UK Album Charts Top 10 except for "Crocodiles"
(#17) and the Noel Burke album "Reverberation" (#96),
which means all Echo and the Bunnymen albums in that period
at least entered the UK Album Charts.
Between 1989 - 1992 Ian McCulloch had 4 Top Ten Singles on
the US Modern Rock Charts, which began in 1988. The single
"Proud To Fall" (1989) was #1, making it the only
#1 Bunnymen-related single from all charts.
In 1990, the Ian McCulloch-less Echo and the Bunnymen with
Noel Burke on vocals reached #8 on the US Modern Rock Charts.
Echo and the Bunnymen has never reached higher than #51 on
the US Billboard 200 with a single or album.
The last Echo and the Bunnymen single to reach the Top Ten
UK Singles Chart was "Nothing Lasts Forever" (#8)
in 1997.
The last Echo and the Bunnymen related project to crack the
Top Ten UK Singles Chart was the England United single "Top
Of The World" (#9) in 1998.
